Objectives

Whether near or far, alumni are the greatest ambassadors of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. This is where who belongs for those who leave KDU, but for whom KDU never leaves. The KDU Alumni is an organization which inculcate life long relationships with current and former alumni by promoting spirit of unity and collaboration on activities.

Association’s ultimate mission is to support & promote the university in its pursuit of excellence and to raise a spirit of loyalty, involvement and lifelong commitment to the university through its alumni.

The Objectives
of the
Association are

To encourage, foster and promote close relations between the University and its alumni;

To promote the interest of the alumni body in the affairs of the University;

To assist the alumni in promoting the general interest and well-being of the University;

To ensure that programs are initiated and developed for the benefit of the alumni and the university;

To assist and support the effort of the University in obtaining funds for its development;

To provide a medium through which alumni may support and advance the pursuit of university excellence at the University;

To provide and disseminate information regarding the University, its faculties, staff, graduates, diplomates and students to the alumni;

To express opinions and act as deemed necessary on issues of relevance to the University, the members of the association and national interests;

To support foster the bondage of officers / day scholars within intakes/ batches of the alumni;

To support any member of the alumni, in the event the executive committee sanctions such assistance.
