About Me

{I presently employed at Property Development PLC as Head of Human Resources & Administration since retirement from Sri Lanka Navy I retired as a Captain from the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) after serving almost 28 years in various senior capacities in the field of Operations, Administration, Human Resources, including 02 years at Kotalawela Defence University (KDU) as the Registrar (CHRO). In addition was also the Senior Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Defence and Strategic Studies (FDSS).Further, I was in charge all Administration, and Human Resources activities of the KDU hospital until appointment of Executive Director. Furthermore, I was the Board Secretary of Board of Management (BOM) of KDU and KDU Hospital. I joined Property Development PLC/Ltd (PDL) a Subsidiary of Bank of Ceylon and Koladeniya Hydro Power Plant (KHP) a Subsidiary of PDL as Head of Human Resource & Administration in June 2018 and employed since then. I, joined the Sri Lanka Navy in 1990 and served over 34 years in the government sector and well as in the private sector including a secondment to the United Nations Mission in Sudan as a Military Observer and completed 02 and 05 years of employment at KDU and PDL respectively. I am over 20 years of experience in the senior capacity. I obtained Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from KDU in 1992 and obtained three Masters Degrees in the field of Management, Strategic studies and E – Governance and had advance training from institutions from India, Bangladesh and China. Further, conducted lectures on Management, Human Resources, Strategic Management, Organizational Behavior and Defence related subjects for Undergraduates and Masters level students in various institutions. I am an associate member of the Institute of Management of Sri Lanka (IMSL), was an Executive Committee Member of the Sri Lanka Handball Federation and Squash Federation and at present is an Executive Committee Member of the KDU Alumina. A recipient gallantry medals of Rana Wickrama Padakkama, Two Rana Sura Padakkama for my remarkable performance in face of enemy and a recipient of Uttama Seva Padakkama, Videsha Seva Padakkama along with nine other medals and decorations for my in utmost dedication, commitment and unblemished integrity and service to the SLN and also represented the SLN in Badminton, Cricket, Hockey and Squash.}
