I am Sara Silva, an alumna of Methodist College. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, where I graduated with First Class Honours and was ranked top of my faculty intake of 30 students. I went on to complete a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.
From 2015 to 2024, I served as the Consular Officer for the Consulate of the Republic of Botswana in Sri Lanka, where I gained extensive experience in diplomatic and administrative affairs. Currently, I serve as an Instructor (Lecturer Assistant) at the Faculty of Defence and Strategic Studies at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University.
My academic and professional interests lie in military history, a field in which I continue to deepen my expertise through teaching and research. I am passionate about exploring the evolution of warfare, strategic thought, and the role of historical military conflicts in shaping contemporary security dynamics.
